So far, the M will be sold with three different powertrains. The US will get the M37, powered by an updated direct-injection version of Nissan’s 3.7L VQ V6 (as seen in the 370Z, G37, etc). Figure somewhere in the ballpark of 325bhp-about what the old 45’s VK45DE V8 made. For the power hungry, the exciting news is the new M56, featuring an enlarged 5.6L direct-injection version of Nissan’s VK V8, which Infiniti claims will make more than 400 horsepower. Europe won’t get the gas-guzzling V8, but will have an option of a “high performance” turbodiesel V6, sourced from Renault. Most likely Renault’s new 3.0L diesel, expect the compression-ignition engine to make somewhere near 270bhp. Expect standard rear-wheel-drive with optional ATESSA all-wheel-drive, much like the current M/Fuga.

The design of the car is heavily influenced by the Infiniti Essence concept-which debuted at the 2009 Geneva Autoshow-and it shows a more organic, natural side of Infiniti’s styling. The car is still aggressive, but it’s definitely curvier than the old M-which might’ve been drawn with a ruler for all I know. And keeping in line with Nissan’s plan for Infiniti to be a viable brand on the world market, they’ve spent quite some effort coming up with a new interior for the M. It’s almost Jaguar-esque, and I think it looks quite inviting.

The Chrysler Sebring competes in the ultra-competitive midsize car category with more daring looks and unique features than most of its competitors, including offering a convertible version.

The Sebring is available with three different engines, a 173-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder, a 189-hp 2.7 liter V6 or a 235-hp 3.5-liter V6. A four-speed automatic is bolted to the 2.4L and 2.7L engines, while the 3.5L gets a six-speed automatic is bolted to the 2.4L and 2.7L engines, while the 3.5L gets a six-speed automatic. The convertible offers two different tops, a cloth soft top, or a power retractable hard top. LX, Touring, and Limited are the available trims for the convertible, the sedan is offered in Touring, or Limited. Safety features include four-wheel ABS, tire pressure monitoring, front, side and curtain airbags.

Alfa Romeo has partnered with fashion house Italia Independent for a special edition model of the Brera, an angular coupe that is known for being on of the most stylish vehicles on the road. The Alfa Romeo Brera Italia Independent is anything but a wallflower.

The Alfa Romeo Brera Italia Independent comes with a 18-inch matt black alloy wheels with a turbine design, an aluminum fuel cap, and red brake calipers help distinguish it from normal stock. The interior features a sports steering wheel covered in black leather with red stitching, aluminum pedals and footrest, as well as the optional Poltrona Frau Leather upholstery in black with red stitching. Starting in spring of 2010, you can enjoy some twin-turbocharged 4.4L V8 power (or at least hear it roar past you). The engine is good for a total of 500-hp with a maximum torque of 516 lb-ft. Mated to a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission, 0-60 mph comes in just 4.5 seconds with a top speed that is electronically-governed at 174 mph. Alpina says that the maximum torque is available from 3,000 to 4,750 rpm, allowing the B7 to accelerate effortlessly from virtually any speed.
Rear-wheel drive is still the order of the day for the 2011 B7, with power sent out back with a six-speed Alpina Switch-Tronic sport automatic transmission. The Switch-Tronic gearbox allows paddle-shifted manual mode with gearshifts taking “a few hundred milliseconds.” The transmission and oil coolers are separated from the main cooling system to improve performance.

Exterior design of the B7 is still largely standard 7-series, though it does get unique front and rear spoilers to aid stability and performance at higher speeds. BMW claims they reduce lift at the front by 30 percent and at the rear by 15 percent. All standard 7-series exterior colors are available, plus the signature Alpina Blue Metallic choice.
